Brave Cataraqui II Finally Lose

Cataraqui II 0 vs The Keg FC 1

This was a somewhat frustrating (and not particularly noteworthy) game played under the mosquitoes at Willie Pratt Baseball Ground.  The Keg team were kept fairly comfortably in check for most of the game, but did indeed score an excellent goal against Val Tomsons just towards the close of the first half.

Despite constant aerial bombardment from Andrew Nadar, the finishing touch did not seem to be there tonight.  There were plenty of chances but there was no magic.

It is fair to say that this field does not lend itself to our style of play, and our results here in the last few years have been less than stellar.  There is really no midfield to speak of because of the short pitch.  It is clear that our strength lies in the build up at distribution of the ball from the excellent midfield players we have.

All in all the team played well enough, showing no post-game concussion from the Cup defeat on Friday.

Next game is against ihMyBar at St Lawrence College on Tuesday.
